How Marg teaches

Four rungs, in order

Nobody jumps to a 99. The batch is built so each step is finished before the next one opens.

01

Concept, then paper

Every topic ends with a set from an actual past paper, solved live, timer running.

02

Daily drills

Twenty minutes a day of targeted sets. Auto-checked, with a weekly accuracy report.

03

Mock, then post-mortem

Twelve full mocks. Each one followed by a two-hour analysis session, not just a score.

04

Interview room

WAT drills and mock GDPI panels once results are out, with alumni on the panel.

Why this exists

Started with nine students in a Pune living room

Arvind Menon quit a consulting job in 2014 because the coaching class he had attended taught 300 students at a time and knew none of their names.

Marg kept the small-batch rule even after moving online. Sixty seats, four mentors, and a spreadsheet where every student’s weekly accuracy is visible to the person teaching them.

If a mentor cannot tell you which question type is quietly costing you four marks a mock, they are not mentoring you.

What the mocks show

The jump happens between mock four and mock eight

Median percentile across 1,100 students who sat all twelve mocks in the last cycle. Nothing dramatic in the first month — then the drills start paying.

  • Every mock is followed by a two-hour analysis class
  • Your accuracy is tracked per question type, not per section
  • Mentors flag the topic quietly costing you marks

Median percentile

1,100 students · last cycle
Mock 1 71.4
Mock 4 82.6
Mock 8 91.3
Mock 12 96.2
Actual CAT 98.1

Median, not best case. Roughly one student in five finishes below 90 — usually the ones who skip the analysis sessions.

INDIVIDUAL COURSES

Or take one section at a time

Useful if you are strong in two areas and losing marks in one. All four are included in the full course.

Marg Mocks

A mock is only worth the two hours after it

  • Interface built to match the actual test-day screen
  • Percentile against 1,100+ serious aspirants, not a random pool
  • Question-type accuracy map, plus your time spent per set
  • A live analysis class the evening after every mock

In their words

2025 toppers’ feedback

Ishita Rane

Converted

IIM Ahmedabad

I came in at a 71 percentile mock and I genuinely thought that was my ceiling. The weekly sheet review is what changed it — Arvind sir would circle two question types and tell me to leave everything else alone that week.
Ishita Rane 99.99 percentile · Batch R3
Aditya Kulkarni

Converted

IIM Bangalore

Second attempt, and I nearly did not join a class again. What was different here was the analysis session after each mock — two hours, same evening, going through what we should have skipped.
Aditya Kulkarni 99.94 percentile · Batch R3
Rohan Mehta

Converted

IIM Calcutta

The focus on strategy over just solving questions is what made the difference. I stopped chasing every question and started picking the right ones.
